6/16 UPDATE: We have 9 courts available for this event so based on current registration trends, the caps for each division is as follows:

KOB Open - 12 players
KOB AA - 10 players
KOB A - Has been dropped
QOB Open/AA/A - 5 players each
Adult/Jr 15+ - Has been dropped
Adult/Jr 14U - 8 teams

King of the Beach (KOB) and Queen of the Beach (QOB) Open, AA, and A divisions are offered (Subject to interest. Divisions with less than 5 players may be merged)

Plus Adult/Junior Divisions (aka Mentor/Junior) - Played using reverse-coed rules (women`s net, adult must attack behind 10` line). Any combination of male and female players is permitted as long as one player is college age or older and the other player on team is a junior. Subject to interest, 2 divisions will be offered with the more competitive division being the Mentor/Junior 15+.

Cost:
KOB/QOB - $20/person by end of Tues, June 13, $30/person if registering June 14-16 Adult/Junior - $40/team by end of Tues, June 13, $50/team if registering June 14-16 Pay at check-in - Cash or check to Southern Sand Volleyball

Check-in: 8:30AM
Play: 9AM-2PM (approx)
Format:
King/Queen of Beach - Based on numbers may be round robin with all other players in division as your partner. Alternative method may be two rounds of single court round robin format among players assigned to same court.
Adult/Junior - Round robin followed by playoffs

Prizes:
Open: Cash prize ($80 minimum - subject to size of field)
AA: Prize to 1st
A: Prize to 1st
Adult/Junior: Prize to 1st

With minimum of 8 players/teams in a division, 2nd place team may receive prizes as well.

Volley America Membership is required for all players ($15 online).

Directions:

From Raleigh (North and East): Take I-40 to Exit 293A (US1/64-S) Take Exit 98B (US 64-W) from US1 Take the Apex/Downtown Exit from US 64-W Turn left onto N. Salem St. Take first right onto Old Jenks Rd. After passing the first stop light, the complex will be on the left. From Sanford (South): Take US-1 N to Exit 98B (US 64-W) Take the Apex/Downtown Exit from US 64-W Turn left onto N. Salem St. Take first right onto Old Jenks Rd. After passing the first stop light, the complex will be on the left. From Pittsboro (West): Take US-64 E to the Apex/Downtown Exit Turn left onto N. Salem St. which then becomes Davis Dr. At stop light for Old Jenks Rd, turn left. The complex will be on the left.
