Thank you for registering for BRAVO BEACH Tournaments! The following is information that we hope will help you have an enjoyable experience while attending.

We are an AVP Promoter Club for beach volleyball and host One Star Events at our venues. The top two teams in each age group are eligible for Bids. This year there are no trickle down bids so lower teams cannot receive a bid even if the winners already have earned one.

All participants will be required to sign our waiver of liability before playing. We will send this out via email after tournament registration.

Rock’s Beach – 974 Richpond Rockfield Rd. Rockfield Ky.

We have port-a potties and running water on sight for use but please bring hand sanitizer along with sunscreen etc.

There are restaurants in there area that have most items you may need for the day. Remember to pack some chairs and canopy tents to set up, there is plenty of room.

Keep in mind that at AVP and all other sanctioned beach juniors events there is no coaching allowed during play. Parents are not allowed to be on the courts with the players and only certified coaches (USAV, AAU, AVP) are allowed to coach at time outs. We ask that coaches and spectators reserve comments to the players until the conclusion of the match. Clapping and cheering is allowed but comments like “Start passing” “Serve Short” etc. are considered coaching in these cases. In some instances coaches have been warned for saying “good job” or “good thinking on that one”. Coaches, please keep walk and talks to a minimum. Just let the kids make their own decisions and play the game. After all, that is a big part of the learning process in beach volleyball. In my experience just clapping for your team and not being negative at all to the opponents seems to be the most beneficial.

Coaches are allowed to prompt their players to call a timeout in 14u and younger.

Score keepers need to pay attention to the match. They are responsible for ruling on any disagreements with a call. If a decision cannot be made than a replay will be called by the scorekeepers.

Play will start at the scheduled time unless previous divisions are still running. Players will only get warm ups for their first game, after that they will be required to warm up off court and be ready to play when they arrive at the court.

Refereeing is assigned in Volleyball Life Players need to be flexible in assignments so play can continue on both courts. In some cases sanctioned coaches may be enlisted to score-keep matches to relieve a team that needs to play.

Tournaments will typically run in a pool play format followed by a single elimination tournament.
Point differential will decide ties with no head to head play unless circumstances dictate it and time allows. This decision is the tournament directors responsibility.

In the case of inclement weather, notifications will be sent out via email. If play is underway and lightning is in the area, play will stop and players will need to go to a vehicle. There is no permanent structure to take cover in so have a plan in case of weather emergencies. Poor weather days may call for a delay in play, expedited play, or cancellations. The tournament director will be responsible for determining how to proceed in these cases. In the case of cancellations, full refunds will be given to teams.

BRAVO has a 72 hour cancellation window for full refund. In cases where you must cancel with little notice please try and find a replacement team. Call us and let us know if you need to cancel and we will try to make arrangements with you to ensure the slot is filled in your absence.
This is a pool play followed by bracket play single elimination tournament.

All matches are single game and are subject to change depending on entries and time allowed.
No warm ups after the first round of pool play.
Thank you and we will see you at the beach!
